Cousin-cousin marriages can increase the risk of certain genetic disorders and diseases. This is because when cousins have children, there is a higher likelihood of both parents carrying the same recessive genetic mutations. Some of the diseases that are more common in cousin-cousin marriages include cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anemia, thalassemia, and certain types of deafness and blindness. It is important for individuals in cousin-cousin relationships to seek genetic counseling to understand the potential risks and make informed decisions about family planning. **
